How to read it

ReadingWhat it means
Leaning upIn similar setups the coin was higher after the period clearly more often than not: at least 55% of the time, in enough separate cases that it's unlikely to be luck.
Leaning downThe same, the other way: lower at least 55% of the time.
SidewaysNo clear lean, and the market is quieter than usual. The likely range is narrower than normal for this coin.
No clear directionNo clear lean, and the market is moving a lot. It could go either way by a wide margin.
Not enough historyFewer than 20 separate past cases like today. Too few to say anything.

How it works

  1. Load every daily close of the coin on Binance since 2017 (or since it was listed).
  2. Describe today's setup with two facts: is the price above or below its 200-day average, and is it up or down over the last 30 days. Trend and momentum are the signals with the most support in research on crypto.
  3. Find every past day with the same setup and count how often the price was higher 7 or 30 days later. Compare it with all days, because some coins rose on most days anyway.
  4. Count separate cases too: days in the same week overlap, so only days at least one period apart count as separate. The reading needs at least 20 of them.
  5. The likely range takes all past moves of the coin, scales them to how volatile it is right now, and keeps the middle 80%.

Everything is calculated in your browser from Binance's public data. Readings use the last completed daily candle (00:00 UTC), so they change once a day.

What it can't do

  • It can't see news, hacks, listings or a Fed surprise. A single event can break any pattern.
  • Patterns from 2017–2021 may not hold today. In studies of recent years, most simple technical rules stopped beating buy-and-hold.
  • "Higher after 7 days" says nothing about how much. A coin can be up 6 times out of 10 and still lose more on the other 4.

For the other side of the market, check who is positioned how: funding rates, open interest and the long/short ratio.

Questions

Will Bitcoin go up this week?

As of 21 Oct 2026, the 7-day reading for Bitcoin is Leaning up: in similar setups it was higher 7 days later 56% of the time, against 53% on an ordinary day. Nobody knows, and any site that says it does is guessing. What this page shows is how often Bitcoin was higher 7 or 30 days later when its chart looked like today's, compared with an ordinary day. In the research, technical indicators get the direction right only a little more than half the time, so the likely price range is often more useful than the direction.

How accurate is this technical analysis?

Every day the page records its call for each coin in a public log, and later checks it against the real price. The results, hits and misses, are in the track record on this page, next to what you would have got by always guessing up.

Is this a buy or sell signal?

No. It's a summary of past statistics, the same for every visitor, and not financial advice. Past patterns can stop working at any time. Use it as context next to your own analysis and risk management.

Which indicators does it use?

Three things that have the most support in research on crypto: the trend (price against its 200-day and 50-day averages), momentum (the change over the last 30 days) and volatility (how much the price has moved over the last 20 days). RSI is shown as context but doesn't count towards the reading.
